Thanks for the comments folks - this show was taken during filming of our forthcoming wildlife documentary, in the wilds of Zimbabwe. You can follow along as we blog the making of the film on Wildcast.net. Of course, we're posting our stills here on Flickr for you all to enjoy.

A most fantastic capture, with a great composition and taken from a superb view point! The clouds look as if they've got a slight pink tint, is this how it was or is it just a fraction out in the white balance? However the rest of the scene looks perfect!
Rated 4.5/5 (by the Rate My: Nature group)

Where you in a vehicle? I ask because of what we were told when I took this shot:
We were told that if we stayed in our car we would be OK. A Japanese tourist had got out of his car the previous week and had been killed by an elephant.
Kim Wolhuter wrote...
Hi exfordy, thanks for the compliment. Yes, this was taken from outside of the vehicle. Of course, this is stricly forbidden in National Parks and other wild areas due to the dangers which you correctly pointed out.
However, in certain cases, people who have a great deal of experience working in the wild with the requisite training eg rangers, filmamkers, etc are given special permission to leave the safety of their vehicle. This is one of those cases, as we're making a wildlife film ;-) - you can learn more at Wildcast.net
