Wonderful photo of a wonderful bird. Like the blink in the eye and the way the colors come out against the blue sky, not so easy with that amount of light you have there.

Lilac-breasted Rollers live in southern Africa in the warmer bushveld country. Feed on insects. Being such a stunning bird, they unfortunately have a terrible raucous call. Just doesn't fit their beauty.
