I love the lighting on this shot Kim. By the way saw your film you made on the Leopard. They are having a Week of South African Films on National Geographic. Congratulations on a great film - it kept me glued to the box. The Cinematography was absolutely fantastic.

Exotic image bronzed in twilight and enriched by inescapable literary allusion. Baobab trees were portrayed as a serious threat to the tiny planet inhabited by The Little Prince, beloved since 1943 when Antoine de Saint Exupery furnished this drawing in the world-famous fable where the prince explains why baobabs must be uprooted (in Chapter 5). But your handsome silhouette portends no peril to a planet as enormous as Earth from baobab trees, which live hundreds of years and store up to 120,000 liters of water in their swollen trunks to endure harsh droughts. And those nests, though not as ambitious as 300-unit nests of social weavers, are still impressive with two or three chambers created inside by buffalo weavers. This polished picture points to another whole world, inexhaustibly exotic Africa. So lovely Large and Original. I am an Admin for *ABW* Gallery - one of the best kept secrets on Flickr, and we would be honored to display "Young Baobab" with our collection of phenomenal photography. Please visit the *ABW* Gallery home page to see that your fabled tree festooned with nests will find excellent company. Congratulations!
