These wild dog pups were desperate to get to this Slender Mongoose that disappeared into this hole. The ground is really hard and they were having little success and eventually gave up. (I shot this yesterday)
Today was not one of my best days at the border between Zimbabwe and South Africa on the ‘great grey green greasy Limpopo River’! It was easy going on the Zimbabwe side, 10minutes but then the long queues on the South African side. After standing in a queue for 4½ hrs I was finally done. It usually takes max of an hour.
I’ve had to come down to collect a vehicle specially modified for Allan to start work on habituating leopards. So the long haul of towing the vehicle on Tuesday all the way back to Zimbabwe.
