Well the sort of good news is the pups are beginning to ignore this thing sitting on a rock watching them all day. As I moved around doing my thing they carried on playing, every now and then watching me but not dashing off underground.

Mom and dad of course continue to be wary of me. Understandably.
After feeding them early this morning the pups went on a walkabout with the adults to the east. This time they were gone for ages. Again I was convinced they had moved on to a new den. Again I was proved wrong and the little guys soon scattered back home when mom barked at me.

And so the slow process of habituating them continues. And I think with some success.

I’d like to compliment you on your pics and videos. They are really wonderful! Keep ‘em coming! Thanks…..Jeanne
Those puppies are just wonderful. Looking forward to their growing up. How extraordinary to get so close and document it.
Hi Kim,
Have you seen Whisky recently? Any idea where the boy might be?
Has there ever been an attempt to tame/domesticate a wild dog? To your knowledge have they ever interbred with a domestic dog?
Thank you for your continuing special videos and blogs.
Regards,
Donna (Junebug)
