Penny’s birthday today and I just couldn’t face not being with her. I drove through the night to arrive at dawn to surprise Penny. She’s a happy bunny to have her daddy. Happy dad too now needs to recover!
These buffalo just kept coming and coming out the woodland. It was a huge herd. Really spectacular.

Hi Kim and happy birthday to Penny!
Just a quick question… Are animals free to roam in the south between Zimbabwe, Mozambique, SA and Bostwana? Isn’t there a corridor or something like that?
Thanks!
Ivanova
Happy to both of you, with Penny’s being a double happy: Birthday and Dad!
Amazing buff herd! My kitties came running from everywhere trying to figure out where all the birds were.

Happy Birthday to Mrs Penny! Keep the good adventures coming!
I also have a question. These huge herds of buffalo… is there a reason they form such huge numbers? Do they break up into smaller herds at times and come together at others?
nancy
yes there is a corridor and it’s part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. But not to Botswana. just Zim, South Africa and Mozambique.
Those buffalo herds tend to be together at this time of year and split up more in the summer months.
