Yellow-Billed hornbills are a common sight in the Zimbabwean lowveld. Just seeing one lets you know that you are in big game country.
They are bold predators and this one was happy to fly in and scratch around my vehicle as I sat by a pan. The bush is in its autumn dress, russets and reds everywhere, what a beautiful time of year.

This old bull giraffe, dark with age wasn’t so keen to hang around near me. Kim is away, taking Kathy and Barend to Johannesburg to finish off the Safari Sisters series. We will miss them.

The ele who can’t seem to keep the water in his mouth — is that the same one Kim filmed a while back?
Darryl: This one was an absolute winner! It is amazing how just watching them drink is fasinating. Thanks you!
Hi Darryl — what a fantastic life you lead, the elephants are just spectacular, thank you.
Love those hornbills!
