My early start paid off as I bumped into Manyari and the boys just to the south of camp hassling a buffalo herd. But sadly that didn’t last. Well happily for the buffalo.
Having rested up the lions roared and headed west. I lost them in the rocky terrain but heard all the action.
From all the roaring it sounded like Manyari and her boys were seeing off other lions that also seemed intent on the buffalo. I never did get to see what was happening and had to leave the hills with no further sign or sound of the lions.
The rest of my day was occupied with hangar building, which is progressing well.
So please bear with us a few more days so we can get this out the way. And then it’s back in earnest on the lions trail and tail.
I did sneak away from building in the middle of the day to Banyini only to find this rather demented Hammerkop trying his hand at hunting.
