Of course I was hoping for some spectacular sunset action at the pan, but that didn’t happen. Although the pan was alive with water birds all busily hunting in the shallows.
These cattle egrets I filmed a few days ago at dawn at Hwata pan.
I’m sure the elephants were out there having all the fun I wished I was having.

Tomorrow I’ll follow up on their movements and also see if I can pick up any signs of Manyari.

When do you eat and sleep Kim?!!
Eat on the job. peanut butter and syrup sandwiches. Trail mix as a snack and fruit if we have any. one big meal a day at camp. Oh, and sometimes a flask of rooibos tea in the field.
Sleep??? I think i sleep on the job! Don’t tell anyone.
Syrup. What? No fermented orange marmalade?
