I got back late this afternoon after driving 11 hours from South Africa where I dropped the girls off at school, and went straight out to Banyini for the sunset.
Of course I was hoping for some spectacular sunset action at the pan, but that didn’t happen. Although the pan was alive with water birds all busily hunting in the shallows.
These cattle egrets I filmed a few days ago at dawn at Hwata pan.
I’m sure the elephants were out there having all the fun I wished I was having.

Tomorrow I’ll follow up on their movements and also see if I can pick up any signs of Manyari.
