It’s been 4 days on the trot and the mating pair are still at it, although both looking rather exhausted.

Peeping
The couple spent another night in the same place, while the male’s brother kept moving away and calling. The couple responded early in the evening but then gave up on him.

Time out
So how many more days will they be at it? And why do they need to be at it so intensely for so long? This is making 300% sure the dude is successful.

Exhausted
Of course it didn’t help my claustrophobic state. I sure wish these dudes would get out of there now.

Bolting
With the last rains of the season probably past now, we’re in for a long dry season, with future rains only expected in November.

Sunrise 04/01

All the pans in the veld are drying up fast, which is probably why there were so many zebra on Banyini this morning congregating around the waterhole.

    Good Day Kim!

Any ideas on what name you will give the dominant male and perhaps the future pride?

I love the idea of listening to bush sounds, that would be great if you can record some w/o the wind interfering.

    Cheers,

ps- I like the name you’ve given me - Innova. :- ) like innovation

    Kim,

Surely there must be some brothers in history that shared most everything. Strong in battle and a bit lopsided when it comes to the women, but willing to have the others suggestions.
