After raining most of yesterday, today has settled to a steady drizzle. The moist conditions are ideal for the growth of fungi and mold. I found these delicate examples growing from a pile of elephant dung.Beauty from….. well you know what!

I went for an evening stroll yesterday and just loved the way the evening sun shone through a break in the clouds, highlighting these leaves with a warm glow. The vegetation is drinking in the rain and producing leaves and flowers in abundance.

With all of the rain, I am restricted to the roads that are in sandy areas. Any animals that take a mud bath in the red sandy soil are dyed a reddish hue. This elephant was dark-skinned from the rain and the red on his temples is soil.

It is quite unusual these days to be confined and controlled by the seasons. We usually have technology to get around problems. But here at Malilangwe we are governed by the rain and soil types. Nature is our master.

Wonderful learning more about other critters that you are finding. I found this video hard to listen to but then realized I could turn the volume down a little (which helped)! Must have been hard to film!
