The Nduna pride were highly successful last night killing a huge buffalo bull on Banyini. By dawn they were not the most appealing to look at lions with stomachs distended beyond anything looking slightly respectable.

But that still didn’t stop them maintaining control of the carcass all day and continuing to feed all day, like only lions can. When you’re full you MUST just eat more!

The vultures were there at dawn for the long wait. But by dusk they were desperate and started venturing towards the carcass. The lions of course not eager to share waddled over to them sending them packing.

While most of the pride commandeered the carcass a lioness went on a walk about on Banyini open area to torment any prey species she could find. A herd of wildebeest and a family of zebra spent about half an hour shouting their abuse at her, before moving on to graze.
Without having fed the vultures left in their one’s and two’s at sunset to find a roosting spot before dark. And so they’ll wait out another long cold hungry night.

hey kim
nice video as always!! since the wild dogs died has the last dog (i forgot the name) survived?? and have any more dogs moved into the area??
I always love when you have the birds in the videos! They are so amazing to watch! Although, I think the music was a little extra loud today! Besides that, perfect as always!
Hello, Kim.
Marvelous. Thought music was perfect, what was it? Baobab shots superb. In total, do not see how you manage to keep up with it all, at a consistent five star level.
Great video. The Maribou stork on landing looks like a hang-glider, or is it the other way around.
Craig: Haven’t seen Whisky for about 6 weeks now and still no sign of any other dogs yet.
sad news about the dogs. so do you have a project you working on now??
Still working on elephants and lions.
