The cold wet weather persisted. Still raining but only a slight drizzle every now and then. Luckily we could cope without the covers.
Tjololo stuffed himself on his kill and headed out on a walkabout. Slow progress as he marked every now and then and kept resting up. Around midnight he suddenly turned back on his tracks to finish off the carcass before heading south along the Sand river. That’s where we lost him. By dawn all we could follow were the monkeys chattering as he continued south in the river. No access for us.

At Rocky crossing the river level had risen nearly a foot overnight. Again something hard to imagine for this time of year. Crossing the river with the water level this high was initially a little nerve wrecking not knowing what the limits were, but all fine.
Very good job and well accomplished!
