8th May 2000
Tjololo’s on the move again heading south, and then slowly east into Kruger. And that seems to be where he ended up with no sign of him on his way back yet.

At dawn driving a road we haven’t driven since February because of all the rains, we were following a couple of hyaenas when they suddenly turned tail, heads down, tails between their legs and like greyhounds in motion, they came tearing towards us almost crashing into the vehicle and past without looking back. The cause of their concern was 8 lions sleeping next to the road, part of the Windmill pride. Woken by the hyaenas and us the lions moved on heading north until we had to abandon them moving across a wetland.
