Although a quiet night, the morning did bring promise when we found tracks of a male leopard and heard it calling in the heart of Tjololo’s territory. We were unable to follow up but knowing his whereabouts, we will concentrate our efforts there tonight.
The 3 male lions eventually moved off from the buffalo carcasses early in the evening. For some reason they moved off in different directions calling as they went, although they didn’t move very far. Not surprising with stomachs like that.
