20th March 2000
In the middle of the night the “silent threat” arrived. Only when we awoke at sunrise did we see the river had risen to its second highest flood this season. It rises silently, but luckily by daybreak it was already subsiding. Scarey to think what would happen if it had continued to rise in the night while we were sleeping.
We’re still camp bound.
