From all directions, the bulky beasts approached this watery heaven. Once in the water it was a water spectacle of splashing, playing and seeing who would reach the other side first.
Swimming is something that is part of an Elephants’ life just as driving to work is for us. Not only is it a fun thing to do, but it is also a great meeting place for the various herds in the area to meet up after having been separated for months going their own way. This bonding experience is truly a wonderful thing to witness.

I love to watch elephants swim. This was a wonderful video showing themplaying and then swimming over to the other side of the dam to meet up with old friends. Wow! What great photography, Kim!
Kim/Tracker,
Hope Kim’s accident wasn’t too serious. Good luck Kim, thinking of you. Hope to hear from you soon again.
Kind regards
