9th March 2000
βTHE ONE WHO STANDS ALONEβ β TJOLOLO makes a grand appearance. After following his tracks and getting stuck 3 times on the way, Tjololo nonchalantly strode ahead of us down the road oblivious to our concerns as to his well-being. Well fed and proud we followed him until his course followed the Sand river. We tried to intercept him ahead without joy. Great to be back on his trail again.

Tjellers had treed herself an adult female Impala. The carcass was rather mutilated. I presume she killed the impala, a hyaena took it from her, fed and then Tjellers stole it back and treed it (now much lighter).
Spirits are high again even with heavy clouds still overhanging Mala Mala.
