This scene with all these people must surely have been depicting the artist in trance. All the figures look like ‘trance’ figures and they’re drawn over each other and some overlap a third time. They actually look like they’ve been drawn intentionally to give this ghostly effect.
Looking more closely there must be nine human figures in this drawing. And how does the giraffe fit in with these trance figures and the kudu next to it?
