
We’re still at the same site at Chinzwini, but have moved to the left of the previous batch of paintings.
Here we have another scene of animals with just one human figure.
This elephant is in a similar style to that on the other rock face. Is this just a phase they went through of painting in this style? Or maybe the same artist?
It’s amazing to look at rock art across southern Africa and see how similar paintings are in their style, proportions, accuracy. Yet they were painted by different artists who more than likely had never seen the art of others.
The elephant was drawn in outline first and then the colour filled in.
