With temperatures soaring in the early morning there was a heavy cloud build up by midday and it tried and tried to rain. Eventually it did rain for about half an hour but it was just a few drops here and there. Enough to just wet all my gear.

And not really enough for the Lilac-breasted Roller to have his bath.

And it was such a little rain it didn’t even bother the lions. Normally in rain lions will tuck themselves under whatever bush they can find to get away from it.

But this rain was just enough to keep them cool. And even with the cool weather the lions still didn’t get on the move until after dark when I left them.

Then it rained. Soon after getting back to camp the rain came. Not a massive downpour but a good solid drizzle for about half an hour.
And enough to disrupt my internet service.
