I took advantage of the lions ‘non-existent’ state.

The lions spent the whole day again sleeping off their giraffe kill.

Knowing them to be out of action for the day I took the time to catch up on admin and other office chores. Not the most exciting place to be but I suppose it has to be done. And the problem is there’s still more waiting! Maybe for a rainy day.

Lindy was out with me at dawn and we came across this chameleon which she was keen to pick. But dad had to pick it up first. I transferred it across to her arm and it proceeded to climb up it.

Suddenly when it got to her sleeve and was about to climb up her hair she panicked and dad had to rush to the rescue. Chameleon was happy to be back in his green wonderland again!

Those jaws when the male lion yawns at the end of the video are quite impressive!
Hi Kim!
So could you tell us about the collar on the female in the beginning of the video? How many lions are in the pride? And how many lions can feed on a giraffe, and for how long?
Cheers
Oh, it’s good to be the King!
Wonderful Kim. Just such a pleasure to see all this lazing around on a Sunday morning. Thanks for my wake up treat. K.
I’m still getting to know the Nduna pride. From next week we’ll be working all night with them and I’ll know more who’s who.
From what i know there are 14 members in the pride. Only one adult male. The one lioness is collared with a radio transmitter for scientific purposes on the reserve. It seems like that giraffe only lasted this pride one night and it was finished. But they will lie around digesting all that for at least 3 days.
Will soon be able to give a whole break down of the pride.
Cheers Kim
