Luckily the lions didn’t get up to much today. As they slept off their fat tummies I was battling away with the latest in technology.
Little do they know that their images are scattered around the world. Their every yawn and every wink. And even less do they know the difficulties we have in getting those images around the world.

I’m like a hunter/gatherer out here battling with 21st century technology. But this time is seems that nature was to blame for the hiccups we’re having. With all the heat and rain bushes have sprung up fast and furiously obscuring the satellite dish so interrupting my Internet connection.

I feel like our ancestors back then trying to make a fire with friction. I’m confident the harder and faster I rub those sticks, and the longer I persevere, I will eventually get my fire! I will get Wildcast uploaded daily!

Having spent most of the day behind my computer it was utter bliss to get out in the field.
The lions weren’t very far from where I had left them with the remains of their sable kill yesterday. They had no reason to move. With tummies full and no threats, why not just sleep right there. And so they did.

They really battled to wake as the shadows lengthened but when a giraffe came drifting into view, those seemingly harmless pussy cats, turned into instant killing machines. It was the cubs who showed interest. Mom knew it to be no deal. Eventually the cubs realising that size does matter, gave up.
