Malilangwe’s stunning array of waterbirds strut their stuff in the shallows of Malilangwe dam against the backdrop of another magnificent African sunset.

Its a hive of activity around the fishmarket (dam) with lots of different species plying their trade.

Beautiful video - birdlife is always interesting and diverse. Top picture has, am guessing, - Maribou Storks, African Spoonbill and some kind of Egret that does not seem to be Cattle or Little… but similar to the Great Egret here.

Them birds. Top left is Reed Cormorant, Marabou. The white bird facing left is the Great White Egret. Other white bird is the Yellow-billed Stork. More Marabou’s. The dam is always alive with bird activity, especially at this time of year when there isn’t much water around. Also the dam drying up is exposing shallows of fresh lush green grass which provides grazing for many of the ducks and geese. And some game too.
