Howdy dude, Youtube is cool but we’ve got to get you true blue videoblogging / video podcasting and into the iTunes directory.
I don’t recommend you stop using youtubing, (it’s a good marketplace) but we’ve got 1000’s of independant film makers and videographers videoblogging and the truth is it’s just more flexible and give you more control. Most importantly you can start building your equity into wildcast.net instead of giving youtube all your cred.
You’ve already done the hardes part anyway… shooting and editing together awesome videos.
I recommend using blip.tv… unlike youtube, blip.tv will host your media WITHOUT requiring you to give up all your rights…. they support MP4 which is the most popular format… they support flickr.com (which is how I learned about you, you just marked me as a friend)… they’ll automatically cross-post your videos to your blog here at wildnet… including both a flash version for web playback and your original MP4 for “enclosing” in your Feedburner feed so peoople can subscribe to your feed in mefeedia.com, fireant.tv, Democracy Player, and of course iTunes.
BTW, I’m one of the people behind mefeedia… we do actually partially support youtube videos… but we can’t pipe them to the iPod, PSP or portable media players… because none of that portable hardware supports RSS.
Blip is also starting to offer some stuff like advertising too so you can make some money. They’re the best.
There’s an excellent tutorial at freevlog.org on setting up a vlog, but you’re already 99% of the way there.
My suggestion would be… use youtube for it’s marketplace… but use blip for everything else.
Do me a favor and IM me or email me I’d LOVE to chat with you sometime. I’ve got SOOO much information I want to share with you but can’t reight now.
I could name a dozen videoblogs I think you might find interesting. Like scourist.com or Expidition360 and many more.
Hi Francisco
Glad to see you joining in on the safari. Sorry I haven’t been able to respond to your mails, but Wildcast is keeping me rather busy.
Cheers

I’d like to second Michael’s recommendation and suggest you switch from YouTube to blip.tv. If you read the fine print of the YouTube user agreement you might not like how they can use your footage for their commercial gain without compensating you. Blip.tv leaves you with full control of your content and even specifies how you want people to use it, via a Creative Commons license. It’ll also allow users to subscribe to your video feed more easily. You’re doing great stuff but I’d hate to see it get stymied because of YouTube….
I figure, why not add more into the kettle ! I use http://www.vimeo.com but not exactly sure what their fine print says! I am also not a fan of YouTube but I wonder what will happen now that google has purchased it?

It’s curious to see how animals such as elephants play.

But I’m already rambling a little.
I’ll shoot you an email seperately from this.
